Camp Moore & Special Children

Tucked away in the hills of the Ramapo Mountains, Elks Camp Moore offers a fun filled vacation away from home for children with special needs. A week at Elks Camp Moore is a remarkable experience not soon to be forgotten. The primary goal of the camp is to further develop the recreational and social skills of each child. In a relaxed and accepting atmosphere, each camper experiences new adventures, lasting friendships, and opportunities that promote independence and greater self-confidence. This year Freehold Elks Lodge #1454 will send 19 kids to camp, we still have many other applicants that can benefit from this wonderful experience. This is what is meant when you hear an Elk member say, It's for the Kids!

Army Of Hope

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the U.S.A. announced in February 2003, a plan to assist families who have had a father or mother called to active duty with the military reserve or National Guard. An Army of Hope, comprised of carpenters, electricians, mechanics, plumbers, attorneys, doctors, accountants, teachers, and professional people and tradesmen of every type, has been mobilized by the Order of Elks. These volunteers will be at the ready to help families of those patriots called to serve our nation. In 2,100 Elks Lodges across America 1,000,000 members are poised to make minor repairs and provide professional services to keep homes functioning until loved ones return. For close to 100 years the Freehold Elks have been aiding their communities and making America a better place to live. They continue this mission of service one patriot's home at a time. It's for our Heroes!
